Strasbourg 1-3 Monaco: Leonardo Jardim's side make it 14 unbeaten with comfortable victory
Friday 9 March 2018 22:03, UK
Reigning champions Monaco stretched their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 to 14 games with a 3-1 victory over Strasbourg.
The visitors had the points in the bag by half-time thanks to goals from Stevan Jovetic, Rony Lopes and Fabinho.
Strasbourg briefly levelled through Stephane Bahoken but they remain three points above the relegation zone following a fourth league match without a win.
It took Monaco just five minutes to open the scoring, Jovetic glancing a header beyond Alexandre Oukidja from Djibril Sidibe's superb right-wing cross.
Strasbourg were back in it after Jonas Martin's deflected shot was turned home by Bahoken in the 19th minute.

But Monaco restored their lead two minutes later when Balde Keita's cutback was pushed out by Oukidja to Lopes who swivelled and powered a shot into the bottom corner.
And Leonardo Jardim's second-placed side effectively secured the victory that moved them to within 11 points of leaders Paris St Germain through Fabinho's deflected strike four minutes before the break.
