Mark Oxley's stoppage-time penalty save saw Southend United record a third win in succession, beating Blackpool 2-1 at Roots Hall.
Goals from Anthony Wordsworth and Simon Cox put the Shrimpers 2-0 in front but Oxley had to deny Jimmy Ryan at the death to stop Blackpool picking up a point.
Southend went in front after just five minutes when Stephen McLaughlin's left-wing corner was half-volleyed home at the near post by Wordsworth.
Blackpool came close to equalising when Kyle Vassell's shot was tipped on to the post by Oxley.
But Southend went further in front in the 46th minute when Cox capitalised on a poor attempted clearance from Curtis Tilt to volley home.
Blackpool got back in the game in the 56th minute when Vassell latched on to Ryan's long ball forward to round Oxley and score.
And the visitors piled on the pressure late on with Clark Robertson having a header cleared off the line by Jason Demetriou before Oxley dived to his left to keep out Ryan's penalty.
