Josh Onomah helped Blackpool to a 2-1 win at Shrewsbury to drop the Shropshire side to the bottom of Sky Bet League One.
Shrewsbury won 3-2 against Birmingham at home in Gareth Ainsworth's first game but could not replicate that in his second fixture.
The hosts broke the deadlock inside the opening five minutes when Mal Benning's free-kick from inside his own half bounced over goalkeeper Harry Tyrer and into an empty net.

Matt Pennington got on the end of a corner in the 20th minute and tried his luck from close range but Shrewsbury cleared.
The visitors equalised in the 52nd minute when a drilled cross into the box found Aaron Pierre, who poked the ball into his own goal.
