Serbia U21 2-2 Macedonia U21: Uros Djurdjevic snatches late draw
Tuesday 20 June 2017 21:26, UK
Serbia and Macedonia remain without a win at the European U21 Championship after drawing 2-2 on Tuesday.
Mijat Gacinovic gave Serbia the lead in the 24th minute, but Macedonia turned it around in the second half as Enis Bardhi levelled from the penalty spot before substitute Nikola Gjorgjev fired in from the edge of the box.
Uros Djurdjevic snatched a point for Serbia with an 89th-minute header, but the result leaves both sides on one point in Group B and with only a slim chance of making the semi-finals with one game left to play.
Serbia were dominant in the first half, with Gacinovic missing the target from the edge of the box and Liverpool's Marko Grujic heading wide from eight yards out.
The breakthrough arrived in the 24th minute as Serbia kept the ball alive after Grujic was denied a penalty and Gacinovic fired in from the penalty spot.

Igor Aleksovski then saved well from Grujic as Serbia remained in control. Serbia goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic was largely a spectator before the break but did save well from Bardhi's long-range free-kick.
Gacinovic almost flicked in a second in the 54th minute after being slid through on goal, but Macedonia levelled when Bardhi converted from the penalty spot after substitute Elif Elmas' cross hit a hand.
Macedonia looked buoyed by the goal and they took the lead in the 83rd minute when Gjorgjev fired in from just outside the area.
Akelksovski denied Srdjan Plavsic but Serbia levelled in the final minute when Djurdjevic headed in from a free-kick. And Andrija Zivkovic almost won it for Serbia when he headed against the post in injury-time.
Man of the match - Elif Elmas
The 17-year-old made an impressive impact after being introduced as a substitute in the second half. He gave Macedonia more of a threat going forward and also helped out defensively. It was his cross that was handled for the penalty which Macedonia equalised from.
