Walsall came from behind to secure 1-1 draw against Scunthorpe but were left to rue a series of missed chances at Glanford Park.
Zeli Ismail levelled from the penalty spot in the 65th minute after being felled in the box by Matty Lund, cancelling out Lee Novak's well-struck effort from the edge of the box shortly after the break.
But, the Saddlers could have been out sight by half-time had they made the most of a series of gilt-edged opportunities.
Centre-back Jon Guthrie's volley rattled against the post early on before Morgan Ferrier squandered one of several good openings, miskicking from close range when well-placed to score.
Ferrier did test home goalkeeper Rory Watson after a clever turn before Andy Cook took too long on the ball as Walsall spurned another chance.
Those misses looked like they might prove costly when Novak drilled Scunthorpe in front three minutes after the restart.
However, when Lund was adjudged to have caught Ismail inside the penalty area, the Walsall winger stepped up to coolly find the top corner and earn his side a share of the spoils.
