A brilliant strike by Clayton Donaldson 12 seconds into the second half gave Brentford a hard fought 1-1 draw at high-flying Notts County.
An often ill-tempered clash exploded into life just before the half hour when Brentford boss Uwe Rosler inexplicably refused to move out of the way to allow Alan Sheehan to take a free-kick near the dugouts, resulting in him being sent to the stands by referee Mark Haywood. The Magpies went ahead after 36 minutes when Alan Judge was floored in the box by Bees defender Karleigh Osborne and Haywood gave a hotly disputed penalty, which Jeff Hughes dispatched. The supporters were barely back in their seats for the second period when Donaldson picked the ball up, with seemingly little on, 25 yards from goal and blasted it past Stuart Nelson. County had the best chance of a winner but substitute Sam Sodje slammed the ball just over.
