Garry Monk proud of Swansea after 2-1 win over Manchester United

Swansea City manager Garry Monk said his players did the club proud after they came from behind to beat Manchester United 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium.
Ki Sung-yueng and Bafetimbi Gomis both netted for the Swans after Ander Herrera put the visitors ahead.
The win is only Swansea’s second of the year in the Premier League but sees them complete the double over United for the first time in the club’s history.
“I am so pleased with everyone connected to the club,” Monk told Sky Sports. “I know what the club means to everyone, not just me, the whole squad, even the ones not involved today.
“The way they focused and pushed this week and understood what I asked from them - they did the club proud.

“We had the aggression and intensity and had to patient at times because United are a good side, but that we did that very well and we managed the game well.
"To come away with three points and have six points from United this season is a fantastic achievement.”
Victory consolidates Swansea’s position in the top half of the table and Monk praised his side’s reaction to going behind after 28 minutes.
“It was a very good performance,” he said. “We got the goal back, finished the half well and second half we had to take a bit pressure but we defended tremendously and limited them to just one shot on goal.
“We got the deserved second and could have had a third towards the end. The whole team was fantastic today.”
Monk also praised Swansea goalscorer Gomis, who has been charged with leading the line following the sale of Wilfried Bony in January.
“Since Bony has left all the emphasis has gone on to Bafe but he has been tremendous,” said Monk. “He works extremely hard and deserved a goal today at the minimum.”
