FA Cup: Burnley manager Sean Dyche says defensive mistakes costly in 4-2 defeat at Tottenham

Burnley manager Sean Dyche insists defensive errors cost his side in their 4-2 FA Cup defeat at Tottenham.
The visitors shocked Spurs after racing into a 2-0 lead inside eight minutes after goals from Marvin Sordell and Ross Wallace.
But the home side roared back and Dyche blamed his side’s decision-making at key moments in the third-round replay.
"I don't know if we let it get away, they are a good side," Dyche said. "But when you're 2-0 up and you make mistakes like we did, it will be tough.
"It was just the details that really hurt us tonight. They supplied the details and we didn't. You can't get away with that as this level."

Burnley now face a blank weekend when the FA Cup fourth round ties take place on January 24 and the rest could aid their bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
However, Dyche was disappointed to exit the cup, particularly after their bright start at Spurs.
“Who knows if we'll benefit from that rest, there's no guarantee,” he added. "There's no choice about it: we wanted to win, we didn't, so we move forward."
