Premier League: QPR manager Harry Redknapp left gutted by late Swansea equaliser
Friday 2 January 2015 06:41, UK
QPR manager Harry Redknapp was left “gutted” after Wilfried Bony’s last-gasp equaliser handed 10-man Swansea City a 1-1 draw.
Leroy Fer put QPR in front with a barnstorming strike before Wayne Routledge saw red after clashing with Karl Henry.
Rangers looked to be cruising to three points, only for Bony to pop up with a stoppage-time leveller.
“I’m absolutely gutted,” Redknapp said. "To concede with a minute and a half to go, when we just needed to play the game out, is gutting.
"Then we went up the other end and almost grabbed a winner. It was a great opportunity for us. The lads worked their socks off for us. We defended for our lives. To concede when we did was a massive blow for us.

"We deserved to see the game out at 1-0. The lads gave everything – and we didn't get what we deserved. A point is no good when you've got three in the bag.”
The draw leaves QPR hovering precariously above the relegation places in 16th place, with the west Londoners yet to pick up a single point away from home.
Redknapp believes this year’s relegation scrap will go down to the final day.
"The league is still very tight down the bottom,” he said. “Everyone is picking up points and playing well. It's going to go right to the wire.”
