Jose Mourinho has revealed that veteran Chelsea striker Didier Drogba will be offered a role with the club when he retires from playing.
Drogba, who was voted the most popular player ever by Chelsea fans in 2012, scored in Wednesday’s emphatic 3-0 over Tottenham.
The 36-year-old is enjoying a successful second spell at the club since returning from a spell with Turkish side Galatasaray.
Mourinho was keen to praise the Ivorian for the impact he has had on the squad since returning and said there will be a role for Drogba at Chelsea after he retires.
"It's remarkable," said Mourinho. "I was expecting exactly this. The important thing is that he's here and he's going to finish his career with Chelsea.
