Orlando City paid tribute to the 49 people shot dead at a nightclub last week during their 2-2 MLS draw with San Jose Earthquakes.
Play was stopped in the 49th minute so players and fans could honour the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting with a minute's silence.
Orlando had #OrlandoUnited written on their shirts and wore rainbow wristbands, while the visiting Earthquakes wore black armbands and Orlando Pride badges.
Seb Hines gave Orlando a lead which was cancelled out in the 85th minute by Chad Barrett. And though Julio Baptista restored Orlando's advantage in stoppage time, there was still time for Shea Salinas to snatch a point.
It was Orlando's first game since the mass shooting at a gay nightclub which devastated their city last Saturday. A pre-game tribute included first responders from the incident and saw the teams enter the field to the Beatles' 'All You Need Is Love'.
Elsewhere, New York City's star trio of Frank Lampard, David Villa and Andrea Pirlo all scored to fire their side to a 3-2 victory over Philadelphia Union.
