Frank Lampard scored his first goal of the season in his first start in New York City FC's match against Philadelphia Union.
The former Chelsea midfielder struck in the eighth minute of the MLS match at Yankee Stadium, as his side went on to win 3-2 on Saturday.
The goal would have come as a huge relief for Lampard, who was booed onto the pitch by New York fans earlier this season.
David Villa soon doubled their lead in the 21st minute, before Andrea Pirlo made it 3-0 after the break.
Roland Alberg then pulled one back from the penalty spot for Philadelphia, and Brian Carroll netted another after New York had seen Jason Hernandez dismissed for a late second bookable offence.
The result leaves New York second in the MLS Eastern division, two points behind Philadelphia, who have a game in hand.
