Wigan v Newcastle (10 in 10, Wednesday from 7.30pm - Live on Sky Sports 1)

Live EFL

Newcastle are flying while things are getting tougher for Wigan, who haven't scored in their last four home league games. That could be five after this one as Newcastle are so solid on the road. They've won 22 points away this season - a joint-high away points haul in the top four divisions with Scunthorpe - and conceded just five goals on the road.

PRUTTON PREDICTS: 0-3 (Sky Bet odds: 12/1)

QPR v Derby (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Derby were very clinical and composed against Nottingham Forest at the weekend. This could be another tough night for Holloway and his QPR boys. He looks to have a very, very tough job on his hands.

Steve McClaren has breathed fresh air into Derby since he arrived. The players seem happy he's back and are following his instructions. I think they'll make it seven wins in a row.

Nottingham Forest v Preston (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

That was a humbling defeat for Forest at the weekend at Derby. The fans will want to see a reaction and I'm sure Forest will be able to bag a couple of goals.

However, Preston played some great stuff at Blackburn. There could be a few goals here. Score draw.

This looks an away win. It's tough times at the moment for Coventry while there's something special going on at Sheffield United under Chris Wilder. They'll be looking to bounce back into the automatic promotion places.

Prutton's earlier predictions...

Norwich v Aston Villa

Norwich's thumping of Brentford looks a bit of a false dawn - they've got to click into gear and gain some consistency. They were brilliant at Carrow Road then the malaise set in at the weekend at Barnsley. There's a lot of expectation there and it doesn't help seeing how well Newcastle have adapted. I still think the quality is there within the squad to challenge.

This will be a close game in front of the Sky cameras as Villa don't give much away under Steve Bruce.

PRUTTON PREDICTS: 1-1

Blackburn v Brighton

With Danny Graham and Sam Gallacher up front, Blackburn will always have a chance no matter who they play.

However, Brighton are a force at this level and beat 10-man Leeds on Friday without really breaking sweat. It's games like these in December that win you promotion. I fancy an away win.

PRUTTON PREDICTS: 1-2

Leeds v Reading

These two will be very happy with their lot so far this season and there isn't much between them. Garry Monk was disappointed with his team at Brighton as they didn't really play to their optimum level. I'm sure they'll be back to their normal levels for this clash.

Leeds are strong at home but Reading will travel there in good heart after a very impressive win over Sheffield Wednesday. Draw.

PRUTTON PREDICTS: 1-1

Burton v Huddersfield

Huddersfield have been up and down of late after their mesmerising start to the campaign.

Elias Kachunga and Nahki Wells will have to be watched carefully by the Burton back-four, who have only conceded six goals at home this season. Burton look more comfortable at home rather than away. I'm a big fan of Lucas Akins.

Once again I'm on the fence.

PRUTTON PREDICTS: 2-2

Fulham v Rotherham

I know Rotherham got a massive win against QPR but Ian Holloway's men are in a transitional period under him. The celebrations at the final whistle were almost title-winning celebrations such was the significance of the win. However, Fulham have got the legs to cause Rotherham more problems than QPR did.

The hosts will be in good spirits after their crazy 4-4 draw at Wolves, where they nicked a late leveller after throwing away the lead.

PRUTTON PREDICTS: 3-0

Sheff Wed v Barnsley

Barnsley are a hard team to predict. You can't write them off due to their spirit.

Wednesday may struggle to create chances without their creator-in-chief Fernando Forestieri but rarely do they slip up at home in these types of games.

PRUTTON PREDICTS: 2-1
