Bosnian strike ace curbs exit speculation

Edin Dzeko is focused on helping Wolfsburg turn their season around, not mounting transfer speculation. The Bosnia international has been reported to be on his way out of the Bundesliga giants for some time, with each passing transfer window bringing another round of rumours. Some of Europe's top clubs have been strongly linked with an approach, with Manchester City, Juventus, AC Milan and Bayern Munich all reported to be keen. Dzeko is aware that the clamour for his signature continues to rage, with his record in Germany marking him out as a potent frontman. He is, however, keen to steer clear of the issue for now and admits it will be next summer at the earliest before anything can happen. "There are so many rumours about my future," Dzeko told Tuttosport. "First it is Juventus, then there is talk about Manchester City and Bayern Munich. "But at this moment it is too early to talk about what might happen in the summer, so I can't say any more. "At this time I am focused on Wolfsburg because we are in a difficult situation in the Bundesliga, which we did not expect. We need to start winning games."

Great player

Dzeko is not the only Wolfsburg star currently being linked with a high-profile switch to Juventus, with Marcel Schafer also reported to be attracting interest from Italy. The Germany international has been with the Wolves since 2007, but has been backed to make an impact in Serie A should he decide to take on a new challenge. "Marcel Schafer to Juve? Why not," said Dzeko. "He's a great player who has done really well in recent seasons. "I'd be happy for him because he would be playing for a prestigious club that many other players would like to play for."
