Italians bolster rearguard with signings

Torino have bolstered their defence with the double signing of Marco Pisano and Aimo Diano from Palermo.

The duo are welcome signings for Torino, who are currently fifth from bottom of the league and without a win in their last six outings.

Pisano joins the Italian side on a six-month loan with a view to signing a permanent deal in the summer whilst Diana has already agreed a contract with the club.

It was rumoured that Gianluca Comotto could be going the opposite way, but the defender has stressed his desire to stay with his current club.

Meanwhile, Palermo have themselves completed a double swoop with the signing of Pescara duo Luca Di Matteo and Edgar Cani.

In return Palermo have sent Mirko Velardi to Pescara. Another exhange deal for the Sicilians has seen them sign Marco Giovio from Varese in exchange for Noel Casisa.
