Remi Walter's 69th-minute penalty gave Nice a third straight home win as Lyon lost 1-0 at the Allianz Riviera, ending a five-game winning streak in all competitions for Bruno Genesio's side.

Second-placed Lille extended their winning run to five Ligue 1 matches with a 2-0 victory at Guingamp.

The bottom club did not make it easy for Lille, who had to wait until the beginning of the second half before scoring through Rafael Leao.

It was not until deep into stoppage time that the win was sealed, when Loic Remy converted a penalty.

A stoppage-time spot-kick by Andy Delort denied Monaco back-to-back victories for the first time this season and earned Montpellier a 2-2 draw.

Gelson Martins gave Monaco an early lead which lasted until the 66th minute when Gaetan Laborde equalised. Radamel Falcao put Monaco back in front late on but Delort levelled things up again for the hosts, with the point moving Montpellier up to fourth in the table.

Monaco, who remain in the bottom three, finished the game with 10 men after Jemerson was sent off deep into time added on.

M'Baye Niang, Hatem Ben Arfa and Adrien Hunou were on the scoresheet for Rennes as they extended their unbeaten home run to nine games in all competitions with a 3-0 success against St Etienne, who had Romain Hamouma sent off in the closing moments.

Toulouse and Reims drew 1-1 as Max Gradel's late strike cancelled out Remi Oudin's opening goal for the visitors.
