Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes admits he does not want to be continually "sitting answering questions" about speculation linking him with the managerial vacancy at Rangers.
A number of former Ibrox players have lined up in recent weeks to back the claims of McInnes to become Pedro Caixinha's successor in Govan but the Dons boss is losing patience with the issue.
Caixinha left his post on 26 October and Rangers have stressed they will take their time to consider all options before making any appointment.
Speaking ahead of the weekend game against Motherwell, he said: "I'm not going to comment or react to any speculation.
"There's been a lot of comment and enough said and nobody from Aberdeen is going to add to that. My job is the Aberdeen manager and I'm here to talk about Aberdeen.
"There's been no contact from any club, which therefore means it's speculation. And it's three weeks on now, so I don't want to be sitting here answering questions all the time, every press conference I do."
Aberdeen were knocked out of League Cup by Stephen Robinson's side in September but secured a narrow league win at Fir Park three days later.
McInnes said: "I'm full of praise and admiration for how Motherwell have started the season - they're very good at what they do, they're very well-organised.
"Stephen has put together a squad there to play a system and they can make it difficult for any team.
"The fact they're in the League Cup final suggests they're in a good vein of form as well.
"But we're at home, we like playing at home, we usually win at home, we've had one defeat in the league this season."
Meanwhile, Mcinnes has admitted he would be open to a Pittodrie return for winger Niall McGinn, who left Deeside last summer for South Korea.
The move has not worked out and McInnes has said his door would always be open for the Northern Ireland wideman, who spent five years in Aberdeen.
He said: "I don't think it has been the most enjoyable stint for him over there so far but, if we got any encouragement that he could be available for loan, then it's something we would look at.
"If he has the enthusiasm to do it and it could happen then it's something we would enjoy and I'm sure our supporters would love it too. He is very well thought of here and rightly so because of his high level of performances."
