Eoghan O'Connell joins Oldham on loan from Celtic

Oldham have signed Eoghan O'Connell from Celtic on loan until January 1, subject to international clearance.

The central defender joins the Sky Bet League One club from the Scottish champions where he has made six appearances in all competitions.

The 20-year-old only started one game for Celtic this season, the 3-1 victory away at Dundee United on August 22.

Oldham manager Darren Kelly told the club's official website: "It is a very good signing.

"He is a versatile player who can play in a number of positions and he will be a big asset to the team."
