Wigan have signed experienced defender Alex Bruce for a second time.
The 32-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season, having played for the Latics League One rivals Bury on non-contract terms already this campaign.
Bruce scored for the Shakers in a 4-1 defeat to Paul Cook's team earlier this month. He spent the end of last season with Wigan after leaving Hull.
"Alex's experience will be a great asset, on and off the field," said Wigan boss Cook. "He can play in a number of positions, he's seen it and done it in football, and we are really pleased to have him join the group."
