Watford assistant coach Zigor Aranalde says the club are "delighted" with the signing of Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona.

The 23-year-old forward signed a loan deal from Barca this week that will keep him at Vicarage Road until the end of the season.

Watford's fixture with Stoke will also be new manager Javi Gracia's first Premier League game in charge at the club.

Gracia was unable to attend the press conference as he is unwell with flu, but assistant coach Aranalde says the new Watford boss has been at training this week and will attend their clash with Stoke on Wednesday.

Aranalde said: "As a club we are very delighted to have him [Deulofeu] here, we know the qualities he's got - he is a fantastic player coming from Barcelona.

"I'm sure he will help us achieve our objective."

Watford have won just one of their their last six games in all competitions and Aranalde says a win would make a massive difference to the club.
