Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has returned to first-team training after playing 90 minutes for the club's U21s on Monday night.

The 20-year-old trained with Remi Garde's squad on Tuesday and will be available for selection against Arsenal on Sunday having been excluded from first-team duties since being punished for breaching club discipline on the weekend of November 8.

Grealish was banished to Villa's development squad for being pictured in Manchester and Birmingham nightclubs on two successive nights and he has not featured since, missing the 3-2 defeat to Watford and Saturday's 1-1 Premier League draw at Southampton.

But Grealish played in the U21s' 2-1 win over Derby County on Monday and Garde told the club's official website he is delighted to have the midfielder available again having been impressed with his attitude while with the youngsters.

"Jack is back with the group now," he said. "I am pleased to have him back because he's an important player for the group.

"I am also pleased regarding how Jack trained over the past two weeks with the U21s. Jack is back. I am happy for that - and for the team."

Of Villa's clash with Arsenal on Super Sunday, he added: "It's a very good feeling [to face Arsenal again]. But my personal feelings are not very important.

"Of course I have very good memories and a strong relationship with this English football club but I know that it is a very good side and they will come to Villa Park to win the game.

"For us it will be very tough but I expect my players to be like they were [in the 0-0 draw with Manchester City]."
