Tottenham striker Harry Kane says he hopes Man Utd "can get a result for us" when they play Chelsea on Nissan Super Sunday this weekend.

Spurs cruised to another Premier League victory against Bournemouth on Saturday, with the England international making his first start since a return from injury and chipped in with the third of the hosts' four goals.

It took the north London side to within four points of Premier League leaders Chelsea, who travel to Old Trafford on Sunday, and Kane is hoping Jose Mourinho's men can give Spurs a helping hand in the title race.

"Sometimes it's good to play first. Early kick off, get the three points and then we can enjoy our Easter weekend and see what happens tomorrow. Hopefully Man Utd can get a result for us," he told Sky Sports.

"I think a lot of us will be watching. We enjoying watching football anyway and it is a big game so hopefully something can happen that goes in our favour but there is still a long way to go. We've got to keep wining our games."

"It's great. It's good to be consistent as a striker. I want to do it year in, year out, and it's good to get three years in a row but we still plenty to play for this season so I try not think about it too much," he added.

"We want to win games and we have a big game next week in the cup and [we have to] push until the end of the season."
