FC Utrecht have completed the signing of Heracles Almelo defender Jan Wuytens for £1.5million.
The 24-year-old becomes Utrecht's fifth signing of the summer as they look to improve on their ninth placed finish last term.
The former PSV youngster is set to be a straight replacement for injured Alje Schut who faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.
Many at Heracles will be disappointed to see Wuytens leave but the club found themselves with little option when Utrecht met the player's minimum fee clause.
"It is a pity Jan is leaving us, but we wish him a lot of success in Utrecht," Heracles director Nico Jan Hoogma told the club's official website.
"Of course we will immediately start looking for an adequate replacement for his position."
