Dundee have turned down a bid in the region of £2m from Norwegian side Rosenborg for Steven Caulker, according to Sky sources.
The Norwegian transfer window closes on Wednesday, and Rosenborg - the reigning champions of Norway's top division, the Eliteserien - wanted to add Caulker to their squad before the deadline.
However, Dundee - who are 10th in the Scottish Premiership - have turned down the approach as they bid to avoid relegation.
Caulker is understood to be enjoying life at Dens Park under Neil McCann and has no intentions of leaving.
The 26-year-old defender only joined the club in February and has played six times since moving north of the border.
Caulker has one England cap to his name, and scored on his only international appearance - a 4-2 defeat to Sweden.
