Shrewsbury have bolstered their midfield options with the signing of Nottingham Forest's Ryan Yates on loan until the end of the campaign.
Yates, 19, scored twice in 19 appearances during a loan spell with non-league Barrow in the first half of the season.
Shrewsbury boss Paul Hurst told the club's official website: "The boy did extremely well for Barrow in his loan period and they went on a tremendous run.
"He's got a mature attitude and a winning mentality and I think for the group he will bring more of that, despite him being a young lad."
