Ipswich Town have signed Everton midfielder Conor Grant on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old, who mainly operates on the left-hand side of midfield, has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Toffees, although he has featured on the substitutes' bench.

He has also had loan spells with Motherwell, for whom he made 13 appearances in the latter stages of the 2014/15 season, and Doncaster, playing 22 games for Rovers last term.

Grant could now make his debut for Ipswich in Saturday's Sky Bet Championship opener against Barnsley at Portman Road.

He told Ipswich's official website: "It's been in the pipeline for a while now. I was just waiting on a few things to be sorted out and it got finalised in the week, so I'm really happy to be here.
