Ipswich goalkeeper Dean Gerken faces at least a month out of action after damaging his shoulder against Birmingham last weekend.
Gerken tore a ligament during the final minute of the 3-0 Championship loss at St Andrew's on Saturday when he dived at the feet of James Vaughan.
"Gerks has seen a specialist in London and had a scan and has suffered a partially torn ligament in his right shoulder," Ipswich Town physio Matt Byard said on the club's website.
"He will be reviewed again in two weeks and we are looking at a return at the earliest in four weeks if there are no setbacks in that time. It could be longer."
Bart Bialkowski will replace Gerken in goal for Town's next match against Reading on February 2.
Jonathan Henly is set to provide cover against the Royals while Michael Crowe will remain out on loan at Braintree as he cannot be recalled until February 7.
