Ross County scored an injury-time equaliser to salvage a 2-2 draw with Motherwell at Fir Park in Kenny Black's last match as caretaker coach.

Incoming Motherwell boss Ian Baraclough watched from the stands as his side looked to have earned three valuable points after goals from John Sutton and Henrik Ojamaa.

But Tony Dingwall, who had given the visitors the lead, netted in the third added minute to ensure the Staggies came away with a point.

The home side began well and came close to scoring when Ojamaa’s cross from the left found Sutton, whose diving header was inches wide.

Sutton was denied again when his shot on the turn was saved by Antonio Reguero after another Ojamaa cross.

But the Staggies broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time when Jamie Reckord's cross found Dingwall at the back post and he fired home after his initial effort was saved.

Motherwell continued their dominance in the second half and got their equaliser on 53 minutes when Sutton nodded in at the back post from substitute Lionel Ainsworth’s cross for his first goal in 11 games.

And they took the lead on the hour mark when the lively Ojamaa ran at the defence and hammered a low drive from the edge of the area into the corner to make it 2-1.

That sparked a frenetic period with Ainsworth coming agonisingly close to scoring with a low effort after a run from the halfway line, while Michael Gardyne’s effort for County was cleared off a line after a scramble in the box.

Gardyne came agonisingly close in the dying minutes after rattling the post with a shot.

And their effort was rewarded in the 93rd minute when Dingwall prodded the ball in to make it 2-2.

The result means County move off the bottom of the Scottish Premiership into 11th position while Motherwell stay 10th.
