Weston strikes for Gillingham
Curtis Weston earned Gillingham only their third away win of the season as they won 1-0 at Morecambe.
Weston scored the only goal of the game after 18 minutes by slotting home the loose ball as he followed up Gary Mulligan's shot which rebounded off the post.
Gillingham started the game the brighter with Mulligan shooting wide from a good opportunity after just two minutes before hitting the crossbar with an excellent near post volley 12 minutes later.
Simeon Jackson was denied a shot on goal after a great covering tackle from Dave Artell before the Gills took the lead through Weston's second goal of the season.
Morecambe hit back with Fraser McLachlan drilling a shot over the bar from the edge of the area and Rene Howe firing wide from the edge of the area.
The home side started the second half brightly with Aaron Taylor played in by Rene Howe but taking a touch too many in the box and Artell heading a free-kick straight at Simon Royce. The Gills' keeper then saved neatly from Howe's low shot from 20 yards before producing a stunning late save to deny Craig Stanley.
