Substitute Matt Tubbs scored a last-gasp winner as Portsmouth heaped further agony on Luton Town with a 2-1 win at Kenilworth Road.
It had looked like the spoils would be shared until the hosts' defence was caught out by a long punt forward and although Elliot Justham saved superbly from Conor Chaplin, Tubbs was there to net the rebound.
Pompey had gone ahead after just seven minutes when Hatters' defence made a mess of a cross allowing Gareth Evans to hammer home.
However, Luton were back on level terms shortly afterwards, Josh McQuoid was fouled in the area by Nigel Atangana, allowing Craig Mackail-Smith to drill home from the penalty spot.
Town then went close from Cameron McGeehan's long-range effort, while Pompey had two good chances before the break as Justham denied both Kyle Bennett and Jayden Stockley.
Hatters had their moments too, with Mackail-Smith and McQuoid both putting headers narrowly wide.
After the break, McGeehan was inches away from giving Town the lead, as his low drove flew just past Brian Murphy's goal.
Pompey had the better of the goalscoring opportunities, though, before Tubbs struck late on.
