Inter Milan maintained their unbeaten start to the Serie A campaign as they came from behind to beat Fiorentina 2-1 at the San Siro. Guiseppe Rossi put La Viola ahead from the penalty spot on the hour after Juan Jesus had fouled Joaquin in the box. But Esteban Cambiasso stabbed home an equaliser before Jonathan grabbed the winner for Walter Mazzari's side. The two teams were defending undefeated records but it was the visitors who edged the honours during a tight first half. Rossi forced Samir Handanovic into a sharp save after Fiorentina launched a rapid counter, while Saphir Sliti Taider was narrowly off target at the other end. Rossi was proving lively and he then curled narrowly wide, while Manuel Pasqual went close with a fierce drive from distance. Rossi spurned another great chance early in the second half, heading straight at Handanovic from inside the six yard box, but he finally got the opener in the 60th minute. Joaquin went down under Jesus' challenge, and the Italy forward made no mistake as he slotted the spot-kick into the bottom right-hand corner. But the lead lasted just 11 minutes as Cambiasso kept his calm amidst goalmouth scramble to chest the ball down and tap in. There were just seven minutes left when Jonathan found the winner, firing a curling right-footed shot high into the net. Massino Ambrosini had a final chance to rescue a point for the visitors, but his close-range effort was superbly saved by Handonovic.
