On-loan Everton forward David Henen helped Fleetwood leapfrog Swindon in Sky Bet League One, scoring in a convincing 5-1 victory.
Fleetwood might have been ahead in the first five minutes, with Henen twice powering beyond the Robins back-line but unable to find a way past goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux.
Nicky Ajose went closest to breaking the deadlock at the other end, stinging the palms of Chris Maxwell having wrong-footed Joe Davis.
But Henen was the real danger and his power proved crucial in the opener, driving in from the right and squaring for Adam El-Abd to net an own goal.
Fleetwood doubled their lead 10 minutes after the break, Tariqe Fosu feeding David Ball who tumbled under the sliding challenge of Vigouroux.
Antoni Sarcevic's spot-kick found the net and the floodgates opened.
Sarcevic turned provider for the next, picking out the run of Henen whose finish left Vigouroux frozen.
Fleetwood were picking Swindon off on the break, adding a fourth when Jimmy Ryan beat his man and picked out Reading loanee Fosu who turned and found the far corner.
From there the hosts took their foot off the gas and Swindon took momentary advantage, grabbing a consolation as Ajose flicked home Ben Gladwin's cross. But the scoring was not over - substitute Bobby Grant adding a fifth Fleetwood goal with a sublime left-footed strike, from 25 yards out, curled into the top corner.
