Exeter keeper saves penalty to preserve lead
Goalkeeper Paul Jones was the hero for Exeter as they claimed a 2-1 victory over struggling Barnet.
Jones pulled off a fine save to keep out Michael Leary's penalty after 84 minutes, when Neil Saunders was penalised for handball in the area.
Exeter had earlier taken the lead in spectacular fashion when Neil Saunders fired home a dipping half-volley from all of 40 yards.
Barnet fought back on the stroke of half-time through Paul Furlong, the veteran striker latching on to a pass from strike partner John O'Flynn before confidently slotting home from 18 yards.
But the Grecians were not to be denied and Matt Gill stroked home the winner following a neat pass from Steve Basham.
