Star man Eriksen on target as hosts produce turnaround victory

Denmark remain in pursuit of Switzerland at the top of Group A in the Under 21 European Championship after a 2-1 win over Belarus. The group is wide open, but the hosts have ensured they remain in contention to progress after coming from a goal down at Aarhus Stadion. Dimitri Baga had given Belarus a 20th minute lead, but Denmark' star man, Christian Eriksen, scored two minutes later and Nicolai Jorgensen's 71st minute winner completed the comeback. Denmark now trail leaders Switzerland, who defeated Iceland earlier on Tuesday evening, by three points after two matches, while Belarus remain on three points. Baga opened the scoring in impressive style after rounding goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen having collected Stanislav Dragun's perfect through-ball. Denmark were immediately handed a lifeline when Jorgensen was fouled inside the penalty area by Mikhail Sivakov, and Eriksen equalised after seeing his initial spot-kick saved. Jorgensen made sure of the points with 19 minutes remaining when Denmark's pressure deservedly told and he curled a stunning shot past Aleksandr Gutor.
