Goals from Ben Strevens and Paul Benson saw Dagenham & Redbridge move into the play-off places with a 2-0 win over promotion rivals Gillingham.
Strevens struck after just 18 seconds, prodding the ball in off the post after good work by his strike partner Benson.
In a scrappy opening period, the Daggers had the better of the play as Solomon Taiwo dragged a shot wide of the post.
Five minutes after the break, the hosts got their second when Benson drove home a superb strike from the corner of the penalty area.
It could have been 3-0 but Benson hit the side-netting when one-on-one, while Gillingham substitute Gary Mulligan came closest late on, but shot off target.
