Sky Bet Championship: Wolves boss Kenny Jackett pleased by pre-season workout against Crewe
Sunday 27 July 2014 14:53, UK
Wolves boss Kenny Jackett was pleased with his side's "tough workout" after a late goal clinched a 1-0 win at Sky Bet League One side Crewe.
Striker Nouha Dicko's 89th-minute goal clinched a hard-fought win for Wolves on Saturday, while Jackett confirmed the groin injury that forced the withdrawal of Bakary Sako before kick-off was not serious.
"I thought it was a very competitive game," Jackett told the club's official website.
"Fair play to Crewe, they played 4-3-3 and sat off us and made it difficult for us.
"I felt we dominated possession which is a good thing because that is the first thing you have to try to do - to win the battle for control of the game."

Sako was replaced by Rajiv van La Parra, who moved up from the substitutes' bench and Jackett added: "Sako felt his groin in the warm-up so we pulled him out as we didn't want to take any chances.
"Hopefully he'll be okay next week with it settling down after a few days.
"He was 50-50 as to whether he could play and wasn't completely sure so we made the decision for him and decided not to take the risk."
