Leeds midfielder Aidy White was stretchered off the field as his side were held to a 2-2 draw at League One side Chesterfield.
White and Leeds boss Dave Hockaday are waiting anxiously to learn the full extent of the winger's injury sustained midway through the second half as he made a last-ditch tackle in his own penalty area.
Jamaica international Rudy Austin put Leeds ahead a minute into the second half when converting a penalty after midfield partner Luke Murphy had been sent tumbling in the box.
Chesterfield equalised nine minutes later, with Sam Morsy slipping the ball under Leeds goalkeeper Marco Silvestri.
Morsy fired Chesterfield into a 65th-minute lead when pouncing on a loose ball in the area before beating Silvestri for a second time in the 65th minute.
But Austin converted his second penalty in the closing stages after Sam Byram had been brought down to deny the home side victory.
