Cheltenham 0-0 Crewe: Michael Duff oversees goalless draw in first Town game
Saturday 15 September 2018 20:09, UK
New boss Michael Duff's first match in charge of Cheltenham ended in a 0-0 draw at home to Crewe.
Looking for their opening home victory of the season, the Robins did most of the pressing in the second half but they could not find a way through.
Cheltenham keeper Scott Flinders saved well at the near post to deny Perry Ng in the 19th minute.
From the resulting corner Jordan Bowery placed a free header wide as Crewe threatened.
The closest Cheltenham came to opening the scoring was a shot by Kevin Dawson that Ben Garratt turned around the post during time added on.

Ryan Broom forced Garratt into another save low to his left in the 52nd minute.
Garratt flew to his right to keep out a shot from Broom, with Tyrone Barnett unable to follow up in the 57th minute.
Cheltenham always looked the most likely to break the deadlock, with Barnett seeing an effort cleared off the line and Kelsey Mooney heading a cross from Dawson inches wide.
But Flinders had to make a superb point-blank block to deny Ryan Wintle in stoppage time as Crewe nearly snatched it.
