Charlton suffered their fourth straight defeat as Carlisle came from a goal down to run out 3-1 winners at The Valley.
Bradley Wright-Phillips put the hosts ahead in the 10th minute after good play from Nathan Eccleston but United equalised in the 27th minute when Ben Marshall's drive took a deflection on its way past Addicks keeper Rob Elliot. Carlisle capitalised on loose passing and a frustrated home crowd to take the lead in the 62nd minute through Craig Curran when the home side were unable to clear a corner. And the result was put beyond doubt by Rory Loy after Elliot had spilled Marshall's shot with 10 minutes remaining. The result leaves new boss Powell level in his first reign as a manager, with four wins and four defeats, with the latter coming in consecutive fashion.
