Cambridge 0-0 Crewe: Dull draw at the Abbey
Tuesday 12 March 2019 23:16, UK
Cambridge and Crewe played out a goalless draw in a game of few chances.
Callum Ainley tested home goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov from 40 yards in the early stages before teeing-up Paul Green, who blazed well over after 10 minutes.
Green's lovely angled pass after a quick break found Chris Porter nine minutes later but his shot was easy for Mitov.
Cambridge's only opening of note came eight minutes before the break when Jabo Ibehre's flick found David Amoo, whose shot on the turn was easily stopped by Ben Garratt.
Another Crewe break before the interval saw Ainley pass to Shaun Miller, but he fired over.

After a second half in which it looked like neither side would conjure up a single opportunity, Crewe blew a glorious chance to win the game six minutes from the end.
Jordan Bowery played Porter in on goal, only for the forward to fire wide of Mitov's right-hand post.
The point did end the Railwaymen's three-game losing streak, while it was Cambridge's third home draw in a row.
