Bristol Rovers and Hereford were both denied by the woodwork in a clash which finished goalless at the Memorial Stadium.
Rovers striker Matt Harrold saw his 44th-minute glancing header from Matt Gill's long throw-in bounce off the far post in Saturday's League Two encounter. And it was the visitors' turn to be thwarted after 61 minutes when an intended cross from right-back Danny Williams drifted over goalkeeper Scott Bevan and back off the upright. Rovers created more chances but could not find the finish to test Hereford keeper David Cornell. The home side did, however, have a great chance to win it injury time but Lee Brown headed wide at the far post from a Wayne Brown cross. Hereford defended stoutly, though, with centre-back pairing Michael Townsend and Ryan Green competing strongly throughout.
