Brighton Women jumped to second in the embryonic WSL table thanks to a 2-0 win over 10-woman West Ham Women.
The Hammers had Hawa Cissoko sent off just past the half-hour mark, and never recovered from that dismissal.
The defender saw red after handling Brighton's summer signing Danielle Carter's shot inside the area.
Inessa Kaagman's penalty handed the hosts the lead, and Lee Geum-Min found the net before half-time as Brighton effectively settled the contest before the interval.
Up next for Brighton is a trip to Birmingham on Sunday; kick-of 2pm. West Ham will be looking for their first points of the season at home to Carla Ward's Aston Villa on Saturday, live on Sky Sports; kick-off 11.30am.
