Charlie Wyke and Nat Knight-Percival were on target as Bradford bounced back from their midweek defeat with a 2-0 win against Yorkshire rivals Doncaster at Valley Parade.
City suffered a surprise 3-0 loss at home to Fleetwood on Tuesday but produced the perfect response in front of a bumper 20,430 crowd.
Wyke put Bradford in front in the 18th minute after Doncaster had dominated the game in the early stages. Adam Chicksen cut in from the left and delivered a pinpoint cross for the striker to head back across goal into the corner of the net.
Bradford went further ahead in the 42nd minute with a header by Knight-Percival. Dominic Poleon broke away to set up a great chance for Wyke, but Niall Mason managed to divert the striker's goal-bound shot for a corner.
Tony McMahon's set-piece found Knight-Percival at the far post and the defender's downward header eluded Rovers goalkeeper Marko Marosi.
Doncaster had more of the play in the second half but were twice denied by City stopper Colin Doyle, who blocked a shot from Alfie May a minute after the interval and then dived full length to turn away Ben Whiteman's free-kick in the 75th minute.
