Jason Cummings' second-half strike cancelled out Ethan Ebanks-Landell's own goal as AFC Wimbledon were held to a 1-1 Sky Bet League One draw by Shrewsbury.
This came after Wimbledon had the better of the first half and deservedly led at the break after Ebanks-Landell accidentally headed in Anthony Hartigan's low corner at the near post on the half-hour mark.
Wimbledon almost doubled their lead from another corner just moments before half-time as Will Nightingale's header was cleared off the line by Donald Love.
Shrewsbury started the second half brightly and looked to control the match by moving the ball through midfield with Sean Goss and Oliver Norburn featuring prominently.
Cummings, making his debut for Shrewsbury, looked sharp and immediately caused problems for the Wimbledon defence with a long-range shot from the edge of the area.
He found the net on 73 minutes after Ryan Giles' cross located the striker who slotted into the net from six yards out.
Both teams pushed for the winner late in the second half but without finding the breakthrough.
