Carlisle ended a run of three defeats as David Amoo's injury-time goal made sure of a 3-1 victory at AFC Wimbledon.
The Dons made a perfect start with Adebayo Akinfenwa scoring his ninth goal of the season in the second minute, tapping in a Callum Kennedy cross. But the visitors were level after 16 minutes as Kyle Dempsey's perfect free-kick found the head of Sean O'Hanlon who powerfully finished. Akinfenwa's header then hit the crossbar before Brad Potts forced a good save from James Shea, which kept the hosts level going into the break. But Carlisle went in front at the start of the second half when Steven Rigg nodded in a Danny Grainger cross. The game was end-to-end now but neither team was able to capitalise, though debutants Alfie Potter and David Connolly were looking lively for the Dons. Carlisle keeper Mark Gillespie then brilliantly kept Barry Fuller's effort out before George Francomb and Akinfenwa flashed shots narrowly wide for the hosts, but Amoo wrapped up victory following a counter-attack.
