Callum Reilly scored against his former club as AFC Wimbledon twice came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw against Burton at Kingsmeadow.
Debutant Joe Powell thundered home the opener in the seventh minute with a fine first-time left-footed finish after Jamie Murphy's cut-back.
Moments later the same combination linked up with Joe Day tipping Powell's effort wide.
The hosts equalised in the 16th minute as Mitch Pinnock rounded keeper Kieran O'Hara after being slipped in by Joe Pigott.
The Brewers reclaimed the lead just before the break as Conor Shaughnessy's scuffed shot bounced nicely for Rangers loanee Murphy to nod home from close range.
After the restart, Day had to have his wits about him to keep out Powell's cross-turned-shot.
But just before the hour, Reilly was on hand to level proceedings after the ball deflected into his path.
The hosts almost led minutes later as they broke in the blink of an eye with Pinnock's audacious overhead kick flying over.
Pigott came close to winning it late on when he lashed marginally wide.
