Accrington secure third win in four
Craig Lindfield was the Accrington hero as he scored the winner in a 2-1 home victory against Exeter to secure a third win in four games.
Liverpool loanee Lindfield rifled the ball home from 10 yards in the 64th minute, getting on the end of Chris Turner's cross, to dent Exeter's promotion hopes.
The Grecians had taken the lead in the fifth minute when a Craig McAllister flick-on sent strike partner Adam Stansfield free and he slotted the ball into the far corner for his 10th goal of the campaign.
However, Stanley started to get back into it and a Peter Cavanagh corner in the 34th minute found John Miles who curled a shot into the roof of the net to get the home side back on level terms.
Matt Gill then missed an open goal for Exeter and McAllister forced a decent save from Kenny Arthur before Lindfield's winner sealed a vital three points.
