Kavachi, Veiled Applause, Rosbay and My Paris look the four to concentrate on here and the vote is given to Kavachi. The selection is chasing the hat-trick today and he certainly looks to be on the upgrade on the evidence of his most recent success at Newbury when he won in impressive style. He looked like one to stay on the right side of that day and he holds rock solid claims. Veiled Applause won at Ripon last time but this looks more competitive and a 6lbs penalty may just find John Quinn's 5-year-old out. Rosbay was only beaten a head by Snowed Under at Beverley last time and would have won in another couple of strides as he was finishing with a wet sail. He has obvious claims today if he can reproduce that form here, and any rain would help his cause. My Paris wasn't disgraced at Ripon last time but this step-up in trip is not sure to play to his strengths. Blue Spinnaker normally runs well here so he is another to consider, but for the winner we will stick with Kavachi
