With a decent pace likely this race could be run to suit the improving NOURIYA and Sir Michael Stoute's filly is selected ahead of Les Fazzani and Off Chance. A daughter of Danehill Dancer, the selection has improved with each start and was rewarded with victory last time out at Newbury. The second home has since franked the form by only finding the Irish Oaks third Miss Jean Brodie too strong at Doncaster and with further improvement to come she can chase the likely strong pace and strike on for victory. Les Fazzani is one of the pace options in the race and this classy mare is having a great season. She wasn't at her best in the Lancashire Oaks but the rain that has fallen this week will suit and a bold bid is expected. Off Chance gained some 'Black Type' at Pontefract and this improving filly is not discounted as she steps up in trip, Copperbeech has been off for a while but finished in-front of Les Fazzani at Doncaster in November, whilst Acquainted was outclassed in the Ribblesdale but the drop in grade should suit and on a form line through Gertrude Bell she has a good chance of beating the selection. Mudaaraah has kept some good company this season but the worry is that this trip stretches her, a comment that doesn't apply to Bikini Babe who stays well and this grand filly might be able to dominate this field if getting out in front. An open renewal of this race then and the vote is given to Nouriya.
