Another trappy handicap with several progressive types in action. Stance has taken a while to get his act together, but he appears to be going the right way and this step up in trip should bring about futher improvement. He looks the one to beat. Windermere had plenty of use made of him when winning at Newbury and he too should be suited by this stamina test. Distinction appreciated the step up to 12-furlongs last time and ran his best race to date. He has been raised a further 2lb, but that is unlikely to stop him and he should be involved in the finish. He has nothing in hand over Dune, who was just behind him at Goodwood, but he is lightly raced and may be open to that bit more improvement. Kasthari looks to have plenty on for what he has actually achieved, but he is open to any amount of improvement over this trip, while Lingo is another worthy of respect, but whether this trip will bring out the best in him remains to be seen.
